Liz Salazar

Director of Operations, Instituto Lab

Liz Salazar is a native Arizonan, passionate about making her home state an excellent place to learn, live, and thrive. She graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in journalism, focusing on politics and media analysis. She spent her career in nonprofits and education institutions, gaining a broad set of skills in a variety of roles. She has experience in lobbying, policy analysis, nonprofit operations, training, and community outreach. An educator at heart, she’s had the pleasure of teaching students of all ages in three different countries – Nicaragua, Spain, and the United States. As the Operations Director for Instituto Lab, she leads internal processes and projects across fiscal sponsorship, accounting, human resources, and compliance. She also has the pleasure of leading a management team that guides Instituto Lab’s marketing, programming, and data departments.
