Anissa Alvarado

Programs Manager

Anissa is the Programs Manager at SARSEF. She is a native Tucsonan. She attended Pima Community College before transferring to Utah State University and earning her bachelor’s degree in Biological Engineering while interning for a biotechnology company in San Francisco.  She is a HOSA Alumni and has encouraged students to strive for success as a judge for the HOSA International Leadership Conference. She was introduced to SARSEF as a high school participant in the SARSEF Regional Science and Engineering Fair with her project focusing on gluten sensitivities and different kinds of wheat. She has remained local working for ARBICO Organics in both their Marketing Department as well as their Distributor program, using her role as a Bio-Consultant to encourage pesticide-free and non-toxic gardening solutions on both large and small scales including non-profits and other organizations.
