Lindsey Stone

Wonder Contractor

Lindsey Stone is the “What do we Wonder” Contractor at SARSEF. They are a former science teacher who never really stopped being one. These days, they work in learning and development, organize Nerd Nite Tucson, and find various excuses to help people get curious about the world around them. They first came into SARSEF’s orbit as a volunteer science fair judge, and they now support teachers and their students through SARSEF’s What Do We Wonder? program.

Lindsey believes some of the most useful things young people can learn from science have very little to do with memorizing facts. Instead, they hope to inspire others to notice things, ask good questions, try something out, and see what happens. Outside of work, they’re an active birder, a bona fide nerd, and still indulge their childhood plan of becoming a chef, just without the restaurant hours.
