Thursday, September 12th from 5:30pm-8:00pm
The Coalition Space (311 E. 7th Street, Tucson, AZ 85705)
Have you ever wondered about the mechanical design process?
Have you considered the science behind energy transfer?
Have you thought about the impact of solar power on our community?
Have you played Mario Kart and wondered if it could be recreated in real life?
If any of these questions sound familiar, you’re thinking like an engineer.
SARSEF welcomes you and your curiosity to join us for a free, fun event on Thursday, September 12th to learn more about Racing the Sun – a hands-on, innovative engineering program that challenges high school students to design, build, and race electric and solar-powered go-karts.
Enjoy a mini-STEM expo from local Tucson organizations and business in the engineering and energy fields, learn from students and professionals in a panel discussion, and try your luck at winning some great silent auction items!
SARSEF staff will be on hand to share more about how the program originated, where we are going in the future, ways to be engaged with SARSEF, and how you can support!
This event is free to attend, registration required!
