Teams have less than 60 days to register to compete for the $250,000 Water Innovation Challenge
The Water Innovation Challenge, the second challenge under The New Arizona Prize banner, offers $250,000 to a collaborative team in an Arizona community that develops the most innovative and scalable market-based, technological or entrepreneurial solution to advance the sustainability of its water future. “Community” may be defined as a town or city, county, tribal area, or an entire region.
Team leaders have until July 15 at 10:00 a.m. to register their teams at the Water Innovation Challenge website. Teams must register to submit a proposal and completed proposals must be submitted by August 12 at 10:00 a.m. Only one representative per team needs to register on the site.
ABOUT THE NEW ARIZONA PRIZE
The New Arizona Prize, a philanthropic prize competition aimed at attracting new and innovative thinking to solve some of Arizona’s most pressing problems, was launched in 2014 by the Arizona Community Foundation, in partnership with Republic Media and ASU’s Morrison Institute for Public Policy.
The first challenge was the Water Consciousness Challenge, awarded last year to Beyond the Mirage, a team of videographers and marketers from the University of Arizona and Arizona Public Media.
