Not Sure What SARSEF Fair 2020 Looks Like? Here’s Your Guide!

 
 
As many of you know, we are making changes to the SARSEF Fair 2020 to provide a safe and healthy science fair for Southern Arizona students. Read our official statement about the changes here.
 
We are excited to share that thanks to the support of Proper Villains LLC our award ceremonies will be available on the SARSEF YouTube Channel at their scheduled start times! As a reminder, there will be no in-person award ceremonies this year.
 
Here’s a rundown of the fair this year:
 
Wednesday, March 11
 
-Project set-up for all grade levels is from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Tucson Convention Center (TCC).
 
-We recommend one representative per school come to set up projects if possible.
 
Thursday, March 12
 
-Middle school interviews are canceled. Judges will review elementary and middle school projects without students present.
 
-High school interviews are from 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. High school students are encouraged to attend in-person but have the option of remote interviewing. Instructions have been emailed to all high school finalists, teachers, and fair directors.
 
-High school students who are interviewing in-person can bring their projects home with them after their interviews.
 
Friday, March 13
 
-Project pick up is from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
 
-A list of award winners will be added to our website at 10:00 a.m. Check our site to learn if you (or your research team) will be recognized in the Saturday awards ceremonies!
 
-We recommend one representative per school come to pick up projects if possible.
 
-Future Innovators Night is canceled.
 
Saturday, March 14
 
-Project pick up is from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday March 14th 
 
-Elementary School Awards Ceremony (Grade PreK – 5) will be available on the SARSEF YouTube Channel Time TBA
 
-Middle School (Grades 6-8) and High School (Grades 9-12) Awards Ceremony will be available on the SARSEF YouTube Channel Time TBA
 
After the Fair
 
Project and Award pick-up:

To keep our community safe, SARSEF will not be distributing awards and projects until schools re-open. Thank you for your understanding! SARSEF DID collect ALL projects that were left at the convention center, and they will be available when schools re-open.
